About

I’m a Los Angeles based artist working in painting, sculpture, and fabrication. Skateboarding and movement play a huge role in how I relate to patterns and space, and they influence the creativity I bring to all of my work.

In painting, I love working with oil paint most, though I occasionally use other mediums such as gouache and watercolor. I like painting a range of ideas and concepts, so my work is not restricted to one mode such as landscapes or figures. My best work happens spontaneously and reflects other areas of my life.

My sculptures often begin with mockups and multiple iterations. Once I settle on an idea and intention, I dive in and explore how different materials relate to different environments and how those contrasts affect the work. I like the process of making to remain visible in the finished piece.

I earned associate degrees in Sculpture and English at Orange Coast College and am currently continuing my studies at UCLA.

I see physical art and the written word as deeply connected, and I believe art is limitless. Art plays a role in everything I do, from the clothes I wear to the way I skateboard. Art is all around us. We choose whether or not to acknowledge it.
